Holli & Doug’s Super Fun Wedding!

July 14th, 2008 by Jen Lowe

I’m sure you remember Holli & Doug’s engagement session - who could forget the airplanes? I love Holli & Doug! The first time I met Holli it was like hanging out with an old friend! We have so much in common (including our love of “So You Think You Can Dance” - did I mention that she is a dance teacher?!) and I truly believe that we would be fast friends. And when I met Doug at the engagement session I just knew that their wedding was going to be a ton of fun!

Well, the morning of the wedding I woke to RAIN, which I just prayed would go away by the time they had their outdoor ceremony at Overhills Mansion in Catonsville. I LOVE this couple and I spent the entire day prior worrying about the weather….and don’t you know that as I pulled up to the Sheraton to meet the girls the sun peeked out and stayed out! (Funny enough the rain started again on my way home that night!!) This couple is SO fun and sweet and the joy on their faces for the entire wedding day truly speaks volumes for how they feel for one another. They were surrounded by fun-loving friends and family for the entire day and it the energy was great!

Here are some of my favorites from the day, but there are tons of great pictures, so CLICK HERE to see the slideshow - especially all the reception fun!

Trena Makell did an incredible job on all the girls makeup.

Holli’s Dad was SO good - he got the girls COOKIES! Holli was very happy to have cookies!

Isn’t she just adorable?! She is beautiful inside and out!

Doug was as calm as could be as he waited for the ceremony to start.

I LOVE this capture of Doug’s mom with is grandmom before the ceremony.

I could not get enough of Evan, the ring bearer - isn’t he just one cute little guy?

t070508-0211-copy.jpg

And Gabie, the flower girl, is just beautiful. She took her responsibilities very seriously…

t070508-0234-copy.jpg

These two could NOT stop smiling - they are so in love and the happy energy that surrounded them was truly awesome!

I tried something different here….

Now, this group of girls was more than happy to give me a ’sassy’ pose! They were so much fun!

t070508-0401-copy.jpg

And the guys went with a different approach….since Doug is a pilot they all had the matching aviator glasses to give them the serious look.

t070508-0429-copy.jpg

Some sweet first dance action. Holli & Doug had a fox trot choreographed for their first dance….they did a great job!

Holli & her Dad share a very sweet relationship - he is so proud of her!

This is Jen, the maid of honor, who is getting married this weekend in a destination wedding, which is why it makes it totally appropriate that she caught the bouquet!

Some intimate moments that Holli & Doug shared on the dance floor….sweet.

t070508-0701-copy.jpg

I LOVE this shot of Gabie and her Daddy…she hung in like a trooper all the way until the reception ended at midnight. She was one tired girl by the end of the night!

t070508-0716-copy.jpg

t070508-0728-copy.jpg

Holli and Doug’s reception was a rockin’ party - the dance floor was packed until the very end! They sure knew how to have a fun time, but I expected that from a dance teacher!

t070508-0860-copy.jpg

A little ‘Strike a Pose’ action by Madonna - hilarious!

t070508-0926-copy.jpg

And some fun details….

t070508-0941-copy.jpg

Holli’s dress was exquisite - the detail on top was just beautiful!

t070508-0966-copy.jpg

Her back up shoes for the reception were these super cute flip-flops that she found….aren’t they adorable!?

t070508-0950-copy.jpg

And she got these for all her bridesmaids - SO fun!

t070508-0958-copy.jpg

t070508-0956-copy.jpg

Beautiful bouquets by Flowers by Judy.

t070508-0981-copy.jpg

Holli & Doug went with the ever popular ‘Candy Buffet’ - and I can never resist using that set up for a detail shot of the rings….

There are so many more fun shots, so if you have a few minutes to check out the slideshow, please do!

A special shout out to DJ, Dan Sandys for keeping the dance floor going all night long. To Brandi, the ever-amazing bridal hostess at Overhills Mansion who keeps the events running super smooth EVERY time I’m there. And to videographer Eric Hartlieb of Treasured Weddings.  It was a pleasure working with you all.

Holli & Doug - I hope the honeymoon is incredible! I wish you many years of the same joy and happiness that you shared with me, your friends and your families on your wedding day! Come over to catch up on your 2 missed weeks of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ - I’m saving them for you! =)

Camryn the Cutie!

July 13th, 2008 by Jen Lowe

Last weekend I got to go out to visit Camryn and her mom and dad again. The last time I saw her she was a tiny little thing of only 2 months (and she was born a month early to give her parents a good scare!). Now she is six and a half months and the cutest little thing! Melissa was worried that we didn’t get many shots of her smiling during our session, but as you’ll see below I think we did just fine! Here are some of my favorites, but be warned, there are a lot because I just LOVE this age and all that sweet baby-ness that Camryn gave me!

s070608-035-copy.jpg

s070608-040-copy.jpg

s070608-042-copy.jpg

s070608-047-copy.jpg

s070608-048-copy.jpg

She is such a big girl, rolling over on her own, that I wanted to capture that face they get when they do it themselves, so we put her on her back and I waited….but she was quite entertained by her cute little feet!

s070608-050-copy.jpg

Then she was SO tired out from her modeling that she had a little snack and fell fast asleep in her mommy’s lap! Talk about a cat nap! Isn’t she so precious?!

s070608-060-copy.jpg

I seriously can’t stand how cute babies are at this age. With their chubby cheeks and sweet baby features….and this sleeping face is one I remember well with my girls - almost like a cat who has his tongue hanging out just a tiny bit! LOVE IT!

s070608-063-copy.jpg

And after her short cat nap she was ready to go! Too cute!

s070608-079-copy.jpg

s070608-080-copy.jpg

s070608-084-copy.jpg

This little face cracks me up!

s070608-095-copy.jpg

And I love to watch them discover new things - this is the age where they LOOOOVE their own feet!

s070608-098-copy.jpg

s070608-099-copy.jpg

s070608-104-copy.jpg

s070608-106-copy.jpg

We headed outside for a little tutu action and surprisingly she didn’t mind us sitting her in the grass! It was her FIRST time sitting in the grass - ever - and she did great! She was more distracted by the cars driving past than the grass tickling her legs!

s070608-116-copy.jpg

s070608-127-copy.jpg

s070608-171-copy.jpg

And then she was ready for a nap! Those models sure do work hard!

Thanks so much for having me out again - Camryn is a DOLL! Can’t wait to see her (and you) again! HUGS!

Fourth of July Fun & Carnival Craziness!

July 10th, 2008 by Jen Lowe

Our family tradition is to attend the community parade in my mom’s community - and this year we took along our neighbors for some fun. We got up to gloomy looking skies, but packed up the truck with the girls bikes, decorations for the bikes, and lots of food for the picnic we have afterwards. The girls had fun decking out their bikes for the parade - then we took off down the bike trail to find a spot for our parade watching. The sun came out and it was actually a very nice day to watch a parade. Here are a few of my favorites from the day!

The girls in their Fourth of July get-ups - hilarious! And to think that Alayna used to be my kid that would run away from my camera - HAHAHA!

l070408-008-copy.jpg

Love this shot of my mom and Analisa.

l070408-011-copy.jpg

This guy was really enjoying the Liberty Goldfish! I’m not sure he wanted to share….

l070408-016-copy.jpg

The gang waiting for the parade to start.

l070408-021-copy.jpg

l070408-023-copy.jpg

l070408-024-copy.jpg

I LOVE this kid…he is so cute it’s kind of scary. You’ll see what I mean - look at these….

l070408-084-copy.jpg

l070408-097-copy.jpg

 We had a great time!

And then we headed out to the local Carnival last night….despite the forecast for rain….

It DID NOT rain all day long, nor did it look like rain when we jumped in the car to head out….

The girls got to ride some of their favorite rides….

l070908-03-copy.jpg

l070908-10-copy.jpg

l070908-18-copy.jpg

They love riding that big ‘banana slide’ - they rode it at least 4 times!

l070908-21-copy.jpg

l070908-23-copy.jpg

l070908-27-copy.jpg

l070908-31-copy.jpg

l070908-33-copy.jpg

But as luck would have it, it DID rain. A LOT. REALLY REALLY HARD RAIN…..which decided to pour down on us while we were on the BIG ferris wheel - ALL THE WAY AT THE TOP! No, I am NOT joking. I’ve never experienced anything like it before. Stuck at the top of a ferris wheel while the rain is blowing sideways and pelting you with rain. Fun stuff. Especially when you have your camera in hand with NO WAY to protect it and you spent $40 on wrist bands for your kids to ride all night! Unfortunately it rained so hard that we were soaked to the bone and it was actually kind of cold, so we had to pack it up and call it a night. Maybe we’ll try again another night!

This is just moments before the skies opened up to dump on us!

At least I still got a few photos!
