Beth & Alexi’s Engagement Session

November 29th, 2007 by Jen Lowe

Beth and Alexi are so cute and so fun! The first time we met, we hit it off immediately and I just knew we would have a fun time working together. We went out early Saturday morning, and although it was a little chilly, they stuck it out long enough to get some amazing shots. There’s not much else I can say about these two love birds - they are awesome and I can’t wait for their wedding!! Thanks for inviting me to spend this special time with you!

Enjoy the show!

Diana & Lee

November 27th, 2007 by Jen Lowe

Oh my gosh - I can’t believe that Diana and Lee’s wedding is my last wedding of the season! It’s really crazy! I had such a crazy busy fall this year, but this wedding season has just flown by. I know I’ve said it a lot, but I really have had some of the greatest couples this year and feel so blessed to have played a part in so many great peoples lives!

Diana and Lee are no exception! And what a great way to end the season, with the most laid back, happy couple! The rain was no damper on their wedding day, that’s for sure. I met up with Diana and the girls at The Wayside Inn where everybody was relaxed and in good spirits. After some last minutes eats, we all headed over to St. Paul’s Church in Ellicott City, which is a beautiful  church that sits above historic Ellicott City. After the ceremony, Diana and Lee were joined by wonderful friends and family at the Historic Oakland for a fun reception filled with delicious food provided by the awesome ladies of Through The Kitchen Door and lots of dancing! A great time was had by all.

Lee and Diana, thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your wonderful wedding! I hope the honeymoon was AMAZING! Enjoy the show!

Don’t worry - I will keep on blogging all winter long! I’ve been doing some really fun family photo sessions, engagement sessions and more.

Joanna & Mike

November 21st, 2007 by Jen Lowe

I rounded out a crazy October with the very cool wedding of Joanna and Mike.

Fall weddings are so beautiful and Joanna and Mike had a gorgeous day! The Patuxent Greens Country Club  was so pretty and because they wanted to take advantage of all those fall colors, they decided to see each other before their evening wedding. This opportunity really gave us lots of time and beautiful fall light, not to mention the ability to take our time to get some ultra cool portraits.

Joanna is an artist (check out her work at: http:www.joannabarnum.com), so I knew that she was going to be doing a lot of creative things herself. Joanna did all the centerpieces, programs and boutiniers, which were exceptionally done.  Joanna wore a gorgeous, custom made, corsette and her girls all carried beautiful fans that she accented with fall florals.

Both Joanna and Mike were surrounded by fun-loving friends and warm, loving family members. Mike has the most gorgeous nieces and nephews - I had to force myself to stop taking pictures of them! Everybody had a great time at the reception, dancing and laughing the night away - it is always fun to see the whole crowd on the dance floor doing the ‘Chicken Dance’!

Joanna and Mike  - thanks for choosing me to capture your wedding day memories and more importantly for having faith in my seemingly strange requests - it was all worth it!! We got some amazing shots! Enjoy the show!
