I was SO glad that it worked out last week and we were able to get Janet & Skip’s engagement session in before their wedding next weekend! These two have been VERY busy bees! They both JUST graduated from graduate school - from 2 different schools - one in NYC and the other in Philly, JUST moved to Virginia (they won’t even have time to unpack their boxes until they get back from their honeymoon!), looking for jobs AND planning a wedding for next weekend! See what I mean? A SERIOUSLY busy couple!
Janet and Skip found an amazing spot for their engagement session over on Kent Island, thanks to the help of her dad. It was a real gem of a spot - it gave us a little of everything they wanted for their session. The best part is that it gave them some much needed down time to just relax and be together. You know how crazy it is the last week before the wedding?! Especially since they were planning the wedding from a distance up until now. Janet and Skip got to have some fun and enjoy the weather and scenery in the middle of the craziness that comes along with the last week before a wedding.
Here are a few of my favorites, but you can CLICK HERE to see their slideshow!

I can’t wait for the wedding next weekend - they have another GREAT location! Hope you all have a great weekend!

A few months ago I went out to visit Miss Brooke for our first session and she was not really in the mood to have her photos taken (but thankfully we still got some very cute shots of her when we figured out where she REALLY wanted to have her session!). Last Saturday I met up with Brooke and her mom and dad early in the morning, after a good nights sleep AND at her best time of day and that worked like a charm!
Grace was full of smiles and laughs for me and we had fun playing both inside and out in the beautiful weather early Saturday morning. She still doesn’t like the backdrop too much, but we snuck in a few shots that turned out pretty darn cute of her. She is a cutie pie and still talking like crazy! Can’t wait to see her again in 6 months!
Here are some of my favorites!

Some upside down action with Daddy.

Some ‘air’ time coutesy of mommy.

And she LOOOOVED this!

She also loves to wear ‘big people’ shoes (with a little help…) - so cute!

And I love this one because of the movement it reflects (and the color) - this girl is FAST and you have to be on your toes to catch her!

Some close up action - aren’t her blue eyes just incredible? These were not altered at all - they are really that blue!

And she really would have rather played ‘peek-a-boo’ with my backdrop than sit on it! I LOVE this shot of her!

I couldn’t leave these out! Their dog is the sweetest and I got a whole series of her feeding treats to the doggy - hilarious!

She also loves hats, which is awesome! Next time I’m taking my whole bucket of them! This sweet cherry patterned hat is hers.

Isn’t she sweet?!

Well, kind of.
Today my little one ‘graduated’ from the 3-year old pre-school program and they have a little ‘program’ that included the singing of the cutest songs ever. She had an excellent year in her first year of pre-school, thanks to the wonderful staff, friends and parents at the school. She is the polar opposite of my other daughter - non stop chatterbox! Her progress report says “sometimes she is very focused, but other times, she is distracted by socializing or her own thoughts.” LOL - and “another area we have been working on is the realization that some projects depend on following directions closely while many offer much more freedom of expression” (a creative girl?! LOL!) Although funny, I have a feeling that unlike the other one who they worried was ’selectively mute’ at 5 years old, this one is going to be getting into trouble for talking TOO much! (LOL!
Here are a few photos from this morning I thought I’d share.

See what I mean?? These two look like two teenagers sharing a secret and they are only 3 years old!! SCARY!

This girl LOVES to sing, dance and be dramatic!

Here are some of the special staff members that made for such a GREAT first year in pre-school. We just love them all!

And of course another special person was there to see the program today….my mom.

This is the busiest time of year - both professionally and personally. Of course it’s wedding season, but I am also surprised at all the extra things that are going on with the end of school activities AND dance recital coming up this weekend! With 2 kids in school there is SO much to do and NEVER enough time. But it is an exciting and fun time (i.e tiring!) of year!
