I’m sure you remember Holli & Doug’s engagement session - who could forget the airplanes? I love Holli & Doug! The first time I met Holli it was like hanging out with an old friend! We have so much in common (including our love of “So You Think You Can Dance” - did I mention that she is a dance teacher?!) and I truly believe that we would be fast friends. And when I met Doug at the engagement session I just knew that their wedding was going to be a ton of fun!
Well, the morning of the wedding I woke to RAIN, which I just prayed would go away by the time they had their outdoor ceremony at Overhills Mansion in Catonsville. I LOVE this couple and I spent the entire day prior worrying about the weather….and don’t you know that as I pulled up to the Sheraton to meet the girls the sun peeked out and stayed out! (Funny enough the rain started again on my way home that night!!) This couple is SO fun and sweet and the joy on their faces for the entire wedding day truly speaks volumes for how they feel for one another. They were surrounded by fun-loving friends and family for the entire day and it the energy was great!
Here are some of my favorites from the day, but there are tons of great pictures, so CLICK HERE to see the slideshow - especially all the reception fun!
Trena Makell did an incredible job on all the girls makeup.

Holli’s Dad was SO good - he got the girls COOKIES! Holli was very happy to have cookies!

Isn’t she just adorable?! She is beautiful inside and out!

Doug was as calm as could be as he waited for the ceremony to start.

I LOVE this capture of Doug’s mom with is grandmom before the ceremony.

I could not get enough of Evan, the ring bearer - isn’t he just one cute little guy?

And Gabie, the flower girl, is just beautiful. She took her responsibilities very seriously…

These two could NOT stop smiling - they are so in love and the happy energy that surrounded them was truly awesome!

I tried something different here….

More casual portraits of Holli & Doug.

Now, this group of girls was more than happy to give me a ’sassy’ pose! They were so much fun!

And the guys went with a different approach….since Doug is a pilot they all had the matching aviator glasses to give them the serious look.

Some sweet first dance action. Holli & Doug had a fox trot choreographed for their first dance….they did a great job!

Holli & her Dad share a very sweet relationship - he is so proud of her!

Some pretty cake from Artistic Desserts. I didn’t get a taste, but it sure was pretty!

This is Jen, the maid of honor, who is getting married this weekend in a destination wedding, which is why it makes it totally appropriate that she caught the bouquet!

Some intimate moments that Holli & Doug shared on the dance floor….sweet.

I LOVE this shot of Gabie and her Daddy…she hung in like a trooper all the way until the reception ended at midnight. She was one tired girl by the end of the night!

Holli and Doug’s reception was a rockin’ party - the dance floor was packed until the very end! They sure knew how to have a fun time, but I expected that from a dance teacher!

A little ‘Strike a Pose’ action by Madonna - hilarious!

And some fun details….

Holli’s dress was exquisite - the detail on top was just beautiful!

Her back up shoes for the reception were these super cute flip-flops that she found….aren’t they adorable!?

And she got these for all her bridesmaids - SO fun!

Beautiful bouquets by Flowers by Judy.

Holli & Doug went with the ever popular ‘Candy Buffet’ - and I can never resist using that set up for a detail shot of the rings….

There are so many more fun shots, so if you have a few minutes to check out the slideshow, please do!
A special shout out to DJ, Dan Sandys for keeping the dance floor going all night long. To Brandi, the ever-amazing bridal hostess at Overhills Mansion who keeps the events running super smooth EVERY time I’m there. And to videographer Eric Hartlieb of Treasured Weddings. It was a pleasure working with you all.
Holli & Doug - I hope the honeymoon is incredible! I wish you many years of the same joy and happiness that you shared with me, your friends and your families on your wedding day! Come over to catch up on your 2 missed weeks of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ - I’m saving them for you! =)
