Stephanie & Jon got hitched!

September 25th, 2008 by Jen Lowe

Stephanie and Jon had a great wedding! We had a gorgeous day, with beautiful skies and warm weather. Greg and I started the day at the lovely Tremont Plaza hotel in Baltimore - we both got to hang with the girls and the guys for a bit before they boarded the trolley. The always wonderful Amie Decker was taking care of the makeup for the girls and there was a buffet of food set up for everybody - I’ve never seen such a spread! This was a HUGE bridal party…Jon is 1 of 8 kids (6 boys and 2 girls!!) so they were surrounded by LOTS of good friends and family on their wedding day! It was FUN! The girls and I headed downtown to the Harbor Place for some photos and the guys stopped in at the park for a couple before heading off to SS Philip and James for the ceremony.

After some quick group photos outside of the church everybody hurried over to Preston Hall for a great reception. DJ David Orlando of Orlando Entertainment kept the party going all night long, as always, and this was a PARTY CROWD for sure! Lots of fun was had by all and thankfully Stephanie DID find her passport the day after the wedding so they did not actually have to use that travel insurance to cancel their honeymoon!!!

So, here are a few of my favorites, but CLICK HERE to see all the fun they had on their wedding day!

Here is the lovely bride getting her hair done…

And makeup by Amie Decker

I love this getting dressed shot…

Stephanie’s mom was very emotional when she saw Stephanie ready to go in her dress - it was very sweet.

And her is my lovely bride…

This handsome little guy was the ring bearer and he was just so adorable I couldn’t keep my camera off of him throughout the day - isn’t he darling?!

And this sweetie was the flower girl - another cute one!

I LOVE this shot the Greg got of Stephanie waiting for the ceremony to start…

They even got to ring the bell on the trolley on the way to Preston Hall!

A few more casual portraits…

Jon doesn’t really like having his photo taken, so I was really happy to get this one! Cute, right?

And this shot is one of my favorites of the night - I guess because it makes me laugh!

All of the guys!

And all of the girls!

Pretty flowers by Wicked Willow.

A little first dance action..

This one was just cute to me…

Pretty cake!

And now for some fun reception stuff…

The flower girl was pretty tuckered out by the end of the night!

And so was the ring bearer!

And now some details…

Stephanie’s garter was made from her mother’s wedding dress - cool, huh?!

I just have a thing for makeup - now if I could only apply it on myself! LOL!

Stephanie and Jon - thanks so much for having us join you on your wedding day! It was a blast and we are SO thrilled that you did not have to use that travel insurance! Can’t wait to hear all about it when you get back!

Jessica and Rob vs. Hannah!

September 21st, 2008 by Jen Lowe

Jessica and Rob are one of my favorite couples! These two are the most amazing couple and Greg and I were thrilled to spend the weekend with them up in Deep Creek Lake.

On Friday we got up to Deep Creek Lake just in time to check in to the hotel and get over to the rehearsal, where we got to know all of Jessica and Rob’s great family and friends. After a run through of the ceremony with incredible weather everybody headed over to Smiley’s for a casual and fun dinner of pizza, wings, beer and salad, followed by arcade games and go-carts. Everybody had a great time!

As I’ve mentioned before, I watch the weather EVERY DAY, all week long, anticipating the weather for my couples…and leading up to Jessica and Rob’s wedding Tropical Storm Hannah was heading to the east coast! I was none too thrilled, knowing that the venue (Chanteclaire Farm) for Jessica and Rob’s wedding and reception was amazing and of course I wanted to capture it all!

On Saturday morning I started the day off with the girls at the Deep Creek Salon, where they got their hair done. The skies were a bit overcast, but the sun started to peek out as we headed back to Wisp! All the girls got ready back at the hotel and then I wisked Jessica over to the amazing Chanteclaire Farm where Greg and Rob were waiting for the ‘reveal’. It was really great - the sun was shining and Jessica and Rob had a GREAT ‘first glance’ - very sweet and emotional. I love when I get to capture this moment with the bride and groom!

After the reveal the bridal party arrived promptly at the Farm and just after I got the girls set up for some fun casual portraits the clouds rolled in and it started raining - hard! We stood inside the barn and waited patiently for the weather to cooperate and we finally did get to run out and finish up some casual portraits just in time for the ceremony to start.

The ceremony took place right in front of a beautiful little pond with a fountain in it, backed with all of natures glory, with the sun shining bright and radiant bride. The ceremony was touching and Jessica and Rob couldn’t have been happier to be getting married! After a few family photos it was time to party - and boy was it a party! Complete with keg stands and all! And that rain - it stayed away the rest of the evening for us!

I have to take a moment out to talk about Chanteclaire Farm. This place is SO AMAZING!! Christiane and Fred, the owners have put so much into this gem of a location and it is a true paradise. They renovated the barn to maintain it’s original structure and charm and boasts 2 full floors, with amazing decor and gorgeous grounds surrounding it all. Christiane does EVERYTHING - she does all the cooking, the cake, the decorating…she does it all and she does it well. The whole event was truly amazing. I don’t feel that the photos do it justice at all, but trust me when I say it was truly incredible! I felt so lucky to have been able to photograph a wedding there, but especially for Jessica and Rob!

So, here are just a few of my favorites from the wedding, including a few more details than normal, but CLICK HERE to see the entire slideshow!

I thought this was a really sweet moment between Jessica and her mom.

This is right before Jessica and Rob got to see each other….Rob was a good guy and kept his eyes closed until her had was in his….

Like I said, it was a little bit emotional, but I love that.

Some simple casual portraits…

Isn’t Rob cute? I just love this guy!

We went out into the big field across from the barn during the reception to try a little fun lighting. It was pitch black out there, and along with the deer that we probably scared to death, there were lots of creepy crawlies out there! Aren’t they brave?

Now, I have to say that this was one of the cutest sets of kids in a wedding! They loved the fields, flowers, and everything about this place. They were so cute - and you KNOW I have a thing for the little ones…

Some sassy gals…

…and some tough guys.

The ceremony was really sweet.

I was proud of Jessica - I was not sure she was going to get through her vows, but she did it!

First dance action…

I HAD to put this one in - YES, they really did keg stands! Jessica’s sister AND her cousin also did them IN their dresses and all - it was HILARIOUS! My face hurt from laughing so hard!

Last dance…

And now for some really cool details…

This is Jessica and her grandmother. As a little girl Jessica LOVED to play in her grandma’s jewelry and her very favorite item was her grandma’s wedding ring. Her whole life she loved that ring. So when she and Rob got engaged they took her grandmother’s ring and had Jessica’s ring designed to match it! Isn’t that the sweetest thing you’ve ever heard?? Well, wait - there’s another super sweet thing about their wedding a little further down.

Beautiful tables and flowers at the farm.

Jessica did all her paper products herself - including these programs…

…the cute tissues wrapped and tied with ribbons…

A little dress detail.

…and her invites.

Super awesome gold sparkly shoes!

Here’s the other super sweet thing - Jessica had her wedding bouquet made up of all the flowers that Rob gave her in the very first bouquet of flowers when they started dating years ago! Isn’t it gorgeous?!

More table details.

This bull cracked me up!

Nothing like a good candy buffet! It was a big hit!

The cake - isn’t it cute?

And some pretty shots of the farm…

And I don’t usually do this, but this one is especially for Jessica and Rob! Nothing like a little self-portrait!

We love you guys and are so blessed to have spent the weekend with you! Thanks for believing in our vision and having faith in us to capture your wedding day memories. We wish you both an incredible life together!! HUGS!

September 20th, 2008 by Jen Lowe

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with one of my favorite hair/makeup teams to do a B Session for Ms. L…..we had so much fun! I met up with Nicole Palmero and Mindy Whalen up in White Marsh  where Nicole had a few different ’set ups’ ready for L to use for her session! What fun we had! Here are just a few of my favorites, posted with Ms. L’s permission, of course! I think her hubby-to-be is going to love his gift

I am really looking forward to the wedding next month!
