I was so excited to spend Valentine’s Day with the wonderful Kirsten and Anthony this year! And imagine my horror when I called Kirsten on Thursday night and heard her say that she had the FLU!!!! Oh my gosh - I was so worried about her and just prayed that she was feeling better for her much anticipated wedding day. Thankfully Kirsten is a well planned bride and had EVERYTHING taken care of before she got sick.
I was so happy to see a smile on Kirsten’s face when I arrived at the Renaissance Harborplace! And what a fun bridal party Kirsten was surrounded with - her friends and family were so funny and fun. The girls were joined by Kim Schifflett, doing the girls hair and Theresa Olsen, taking care of all the makeup. And since the guys were getting ready at the hotel too, I even got to spend a little time with the boys before the ceremony.
After a lovely ceremony, we ran off to do a few quick portraits and then it was on to the party! Edwin Good and his staff at the Renaissance Harborplace kept the day flowing smooth and perfect from start to end. Colleen Reed of Divine Designs provided gorgeous florals for the day and there was a pretty cake from Cakes Plus, where Kirstin used to work! It was a great party with lots of fun dancing to capture. It was a great way to spend Valentine’s Day!
Here are a few of my favorites, but CLICK HERE to view their slideshow!
Kirsten & Anthony decided to lessen the stress and see each other before the ceremony, which was a very sweet moment. I love Anthony’s expression when he got his first glance of her….
Some ceremony shots….Anthony was working hard to hold back the tears as Kirsten walked down the aisle with her Dad.
Some casual portraits….
Anthony braved the cold temps to take a few shots outside….well, really he wanted to smoke, so I just tagged along!
I always love the first dance….
And on to some fun reception shots! This one is for you (you know who you are!)…
And you know I just LOVE good details! Gotta love some good shoes!
Kirsten’s mom was laughing at this crazy ‘flattened nail’ tray on the table in the suite….and I saw photo potential….
Look at this gorgeous bouquet by Divine Designs! l LOVE flowers - I could do a whole shoot of just the beautiful flowers!
Place cards tied to bottles of wine - nice! All of the paper goods were done by my friends over at Allison Barnhhill Designs, so of course they were all top notch.
And how fun - lotto tickets with custom made stickers by Allison Barnhill Designs! Cute!
Kirsten and Anthony - I hope you are fully recovered from the flu and had a fabulous honeymoon! Thanks for including me in your amazing wedding day and keep in touch! hugs!
