Stacy & Todd’s Wedding!

September 29th, 2009 by Jen Lowe

Stacy and Todd are an awesome couple with whom I had so much fun! The thing that stood out the most to me with Stacy and Todd was how very loved they are! They were surrounded by people who so clearly adore them - they got the biggest, most heartfelt welcome when they were introduced into the reception - I’ve never seen a reception like it! What a fun group of friends and family!!

I started the day at the Sheraton BWI with Stacy and the girls, where they were busy getting gorgeous with Belen and Cara from Up Do’s for I Do’s. From there we headed over to the always gorgeous Elkridge Furnace Inn for a beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by an awesome reception! DJ Jeff Brown from MyDeejay.com kept this fun bunch on the dance floor all night long! Oh, and did I mention all the gorgeous flowers created by Shelly Bagdasian from Floral Design? Beautiful!

So, I know you want to see pictures, so here are a few of my favorites, but CLICK HERE to see their slideshow! They had a GREAT first dance song!!

A little getting ready…

A little ceremony prep - BUG SPRAY!! There were tons of mosquitoes eating on the bride and her bridesmaids!

And now for the ceremony…

Some casual portraits…

The girls!! What a fun group!!

And the guys - just as fun as the girls!

Stacy and Todd had a great first dance song - it’s called ‘Life is Beautiful’ by Keb Mo - LOVED it!!

Some Father/Daughter dancing…

And now for some random, crazy reception shots….

This guy TOTALLY cracked me up with his dancing!!

This shot just tickles me!! I was literally just holding the camera up high and pressing the shutter release, so I really had no idea what, if anything, I was getting…. When I came across this one when I was editing I just LOVED IT! Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised by the things I get when I do that!!

Same thing here - how funny is that?! I think he needs to use this for his FB profile!!

DJ Jeff doing his thing!

And of course I’ve got some pretty details for you….

You probably already know by now how much I LOVE flowers….Did I mention the gorgeous fall flowers? I LOVE bright colors - SO pretty!!

This bobble head cake topper was crazy - it was almost creepy how much it looked like Todd!!

They had personalized crab mallets at each place setting - cute and VERY loud!

Look at these cute cuff links - a bride and groom!! CUTE!

Stacy and Todd - thanks so much for inviting me to join you and your family and friend on your wedding day! It was a priviledge to be there and I hope that you have a wonderful, fun-filled life together! Just keep each other smiling as much as you do - you are meant to be together!! hugs!

Great article about wedding photography!

September 28th, 2009 by Jen Lowe

I was really flattered when Evan from MyDeejay.com emailed me and asked me to participate in an article he was writing for his blog about wedding photography!! The fact that Evan spends the time to put together these articles that are so chock-full of useful information is AWESOME!

If you are planning your wedding and have photography questions, check out the link - CLICK HERE! I’m sure you wil find some useful info here and if nothing more you can scroll down and find my photo!

My question was ‘What if the bride and groom don’t want to see each other before the wedding’?? …Which is a great question because there are still plenty of more traditional couples who want to wait for that moment….so check out the link to see my answer!!

Thanks!!!

Jane & Eddie’s Wedding!

September 21st, 2009 by Jen Lowe

Last weekend I got to spend with another wonderful couple - Jane and Eddie!

For this wedding I actually started off the day with the guys! The guys arrived at Camden Yards dressed and ready to go for photos….and a private tour of Camden yards! We knocked out some photos and then I headed out to join Jane and the girls at the Renaissance in Baltimore - with great views of the harbor, despite the less than ideal weather.  From there, everybody headed across the street to the 21st floor of the World Trade Center, where they had a wonderful ceremony and awesome reception, surrounded by views of the Baltimore skyline. It was a truly special night for Jane, Eddie and all of their friends and family - filled with delicious food, gorgeous views, tons of dancing and laughing and fun! They even got to see some fireworks out in the distance before the night was over! What a great night - and the rain didn’t spoil this day!!

Here are some of my favorites, but CLICK HERE to see their slideshow!!

Every bride needs a little money to tip the bartender, right?!

I think they were looking up at the 21st floor because people were watching us take pictures - cute!

This one was too cute not to post! Jane is so cute and fun!

I LOVE this shot of the guys!

Some first dance action - I love this wide shot with the city lights.

Here are some fun shots from the reception - lots of dance action for you….

How cute is she?! Jane gave grandma her bouquet at the end of the anniversary dance - isn’t she cute!!?

How cute are they? Grandma and Grandpa - the winners of the anniversary dance.

You know I love the details….

Jane had her jewelry custom made - pretty!

Eddie’s mom, Lori, did all of the flowers for the wedding and they were really beautiful! And you know I love to take pictures of flowers!

The room looked AMAZING - the table settings were so pretty and everything looked so elegant! Loved all the thought and detail that went into the whole room!

Look at these cute table numbers - super cute luggage tags!

YUM - cake!

Look at the dessert plate - cake PLUS all this other yummy stuff!

And what a lucky couple - fireworks from afar!! How cool is that?!

Jane and Eddie! What a wonderful couple you are! It was so much fun spending your wedding day with you! I wish you much happiness!! hugs!

Special shout-outs to:

Lori Price for the GORGEOUS flowers.

Lakendra Kennedy and her awesome team from Affairs with Elegance for taking care of all the details of the day.

Carl Brashears of Classic DJ’s - the awesome DJ who kept the dance floor full.

Charles Levine Caterers for the INCREDIBLE food.
