Laura & Chris are Married!

December 16th, 2009 by Jen Lowe

Laura and Chris are such a sweet couple! And another couple who did not let the rain disrupt their wedding day (although I have to say that I could have done without the vast amounts of rain that we were blessed with this fall!!)! Laura grew up with another bride of mine (Meghan!) and is a teacher (which you all know I have a soft spot for teachers!) so this wedding was extra special for me.

I met up with Laura and the girls at her mom’s house, where they were busy getting gorgeous with Ashley Lotz from Chesapeake Salon (and the bride’s cousin!) and Megan Rakers from Baltimore Bridal Hair and Makeup. After some quick photos at home it was off to Our Lady of the Fields where I met up with the guys for some quick pictures. They had a beautiful ceremony and we were lucky enough to get some quick pictures outside before the rain really let loose and the moon came out! From there we headed to the Holiday Inn at BWI for a super fun-filled reception! DJ Jaime Easen kept the dance floor jam-packed all night long! And I have to give another shout out to SugarBakers for another delicious cake and the ladies at Fantastic Flowers for the beautiful flowers.

Here are a few of my favorites, but CLICK HERE to see their slideshow!

This little flower girl was the best flower girl I’ve ever seen!

I LOVE Laura’s expression here! So cute!

I love when the groom watches the bride come down the aisle!

Some casual portraits…

This was a fun bridal party!

A little first dance love…

And some more reception fun….

Seriously - how cute is she!?

And of course some details for you….

You know I LOVE flowers…

Look at their cute favor - cookie cutters!

Laura and Chris - I hope you had the time of your lives at the wedding! And an awesome honeymoon! I had so much fun with you, your family and friends and look forward to hearing what the future brings for you both! hugs!!

Dawn & Matt are Married!

December 2nd, 2009 by Jen Lowe

If there was only one word that I could use to describe Dawn and Matt’s wedding day it would be emotional. But I knew that going in to it, so I was ’tissue ready’!

I was so thankful for a beautiful fall day for Dawn and Matt’s wedding! The sun was shining. The leaves were turning. It really was perfect! They held their ceremony at Tagart Memorial Chapel at McDonough School, which is always a beautiful setting. At 3pm the sunlight was streaming into the windows making for the most gorgeous, dramatic lighting for their ceremony. After taking care of some photos at the church it was then off to The Mansion at Valley Club in Towson for a super fun reception! The day was filled with lots of smiles, laughter, tears and fun! I think we captured it all….there were so many wonderful moments, but here are a few of my favorites. You can also CLICK HERE to see their slideshow!

Matt is a crier. I knew this going in. Apparently so does everybody else….at least he can laugh about it!

This little flower girl came down after the first flower girl and she had to pick up ALL the petals that the first one dropped!

The light was so dramatic coming in the windows.

Some casual portraits…

A sweet first dance…

A VERY emotional Mother/Daughter Dance…

And another teary dance - Mother/Son…

And a special dance with her uncle….I told you it was an emotional day!

And a little reception fun…

This guy single-handedly got the dance floor going!

And LOTS of pretty details!

I LOVE pretty shoes - especially since I can’t wear them!

Dawn made her own invitations - pretty!

oo000 - and the flowers - I love flowers!

Dawn had two special ‘frames’ - one of her Daddy and one of her Grandma - on her bouquet…really sweet!

Look at this cute cake topper! Can you tell their home has a HUGE football rivalry?!

And their signature/guest book filled with their engagement session images turned out SO cute!

And I have to give a shout-out to the ALL STAR team of vendors that I got to share the day with!

Makeup by the always fabulous Amie Decker and hair by Dawn’s good friend, Carrie Vogel from 100 West Hair Studio.

Videography by the super talented Matt Buerhaus of Buerhaus Design.

Dance tunes from DJ Don Koenig.

A super smooth flowing day courtesy of Heidi Kern from Entertain Me.

Another delicious cake from SugarBakers.

Gorgeous Flowers from Wiliamson’s Nursery.

It was a pleasure working with all of you!!

Dawn and Matt - thank you so much for inviting Greg and I to capture your wedding day! It was so much fun and we hope that the day will live on in your memories for a lifetime!

Alexandra & Mark’s Engagement Session!

December 1st, 2009 by Jen Lowe

I feel like I am always apologizing for being behind in my blogging, so I’ll spare the same comments AGAIN- but I do have a HUGE backlog of blogging for you (this time of year is SO insanely busy!!), so I am going to keep it on the short side so you can see lots of photos!

What can I say about Alex and Mark? These two are such a sweet couple and it was so nice to hang out in Annapolis, have some fun in the AWESOME weather that we got for their session AND get some great photos. It was really nice to meet Mark, since at our first meeting I only got to meet Alex! Alex and I hit it off right away, so I had no doubt that I would enjoy Mark’s company just as much. I am really looking forward to their wedding next year! Here are a few of my favorites, but CLICK HERE to see their slideshow!

I truly adore this shot of Alex. Did I mention that she is an opera singer? How cool is that? I really want to see her perform someday!

Alex and Mark - thanks for being so patient waiting for this posting! I hope that it was worth the wait and that the rest of this year brings great things for the both of you! I can’t wait for your wedding!!! =) hugs!
