And here we go….

May 29th, 2007 by Jen Lowe

So I’ve decided that this whole blogging thing is a lot like waiting to have kids. You know, feeling like you have to wait until it’s the ‘right’ or ‘perefect’ time….and we all know that there really is no right time - you could wait forever if you were waiting for everything to be perfect. So today is the day I am taking the plunge into the blogging world!

I am starting off with a wonderful wedding I photographed last weekend. The wedding of Phil and Agnes. It was an early start as I headed up to Agnes’ house on a hot, but beautiful day to be with the girls as they got ready. Agnes had a house full of amazing family who treated me as part of the group immediately. Many of them had travelled from NY to be here for the wedding and I felt right at home and even a bit nostalgic for my college years up in NJ! Agnes was absolutely radiant and her dress was gorgeous - the perfect dress - not to mention that amazing jewelry and heels that I would have killed myself just trying to get them on! She was stunning.

Then I headed off to meet up with the guys at St. Augustine’s in Elkridge, MD. What a beautiful church, location and a great bunch of guys. The ceremony was really thoughtful and personal and both Phil and Agnes were grinning ear to ear as they walked hand in hand as husband and wife out of the church. We did some family portraits inside the church then headed to Patapsco Valley State Park with the bridal party to shoot some more casual stuff at a location I had scoped out earlier. Then it was off to Martin’s East for a reception filled with lots of fun and dancing.

Here are a few of my favorites from the day - enjoy!

Phil, Agnes and all their family and friends really welcomed me with open arms on Saturday. It was such a fun time and I really enjoyed being there share it with them - thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity! Congratulations Phil & Agnes! I wish you a lifetime of happiness together -you are a great couple!

And keep an eye on my blog - I hope to be a committed blogger from here on out….but only time will tell!!
